Some members from the Church of God Southern California and a few from other congregations are engaged in an outreach program to assist the people of God in a place called The Republic of Benin. Their needs are multiple and immediate and we want to make a difference in their lives as God gives us the ability to do so.

For a few of us, this is a golden opportunity, an exciting opportunity, to reach out and touch someone in need, whether they are in our own back yard or in a distant land. We, as God's people, want our hands to be busily engaged in good works, that is why we were created in Christ Jesus. And yes, that is what the Apostle Paul confirms when he describes the meaning of our existence this way in Ephesians 2:10 "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them". He goes on to make this point in Galatians 6:10 "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith".
